To conduct the this old wives take you simply take your baby's heartrate in beats per minute (bpm) using a doppler or fetoscope and look at the chart:

• Over 140 = girl
• Under 140 = boy

This isn't true for me as my baby boyheart rate has been above 140 the entire time.

Yeah my baby boy's heartrate has been above 140 the entire time. The only time it was lower, it was in the 130's, was when we did it right after lunch. These things are fun ti look up though when you don't know what you're having.

My Baby boy's heartbeat is never less than 155...
Not always accurate.

I am having a boy and his heart rate is about 145-150

I'm having a boy and when I went to the doctor Friday his heart rate was 155.

Doesn't work and isn't true... I'm having a girl and her HB is under 140

Well i hope it is true in my case, im suppose to be having a girl and as of last night her heart rate was 167per min..

None of that crap makes sence... My first was always about 157 and this one is mostly below 140... I'm having a girl... US techs are usually right on the dot about sex... I wouldn't worry that you are not going to have a girl...
