I don't know about anywhere else, but my mom works for the State of Michigan and where we live, it takes them no time at all to respond.

i don't know much about this kid...i've never met her mom...never seen her....don't know what car she drives. they live in the apartments across the parking lot from me and i got this info from my neice. i just feel horrible for this kid. why can't her mom just take her to her boyfriends too?

Which ever you call the police or child services just call anonymous. Say you dont want to give the name but tell them the story and that they need to check it out.

Definitely. My son is 8 and I won't even leave him alone to walk across the street to the gas station. We live 3 houses from the corner of our block and ot takes less than a minute to walk over to the gas station, which we do often for juice or snacks...whatever. And I always take him with me.

My little brother will be 10 in December and definitely not allowed to stay home alone. Just imagine all that could happen to them! Leaving your child home alone to be with your boyfriend is just ridiculous! Especially overnight! This honestly makes me sad...

As messed up as it is, some mothers date guys who don;t want to be bothered with kids. I've been a single mom before, and have ran into guys who always wanted to spend time with me but could never understand why I didn;t always want to leave my son with a sitter. But it's all about choices. Some women choose men over thier kids and it's sad. I had a guy I dated when my son was about 8 months old who I really liked but he was trying to get to know me but never wanted my son around, so I had to stop seeing him. My son is more important then any man will ever be.

Call the police on the night that you KNOW that her mom isn't home and have them come check on the little girl.

Well with the police, they'll know who she is, but CPS she can call anonymously. But still...the call needs to be made.

I could never do that. I honestly do not see how some women can either. My kids come before anyone period.

It's true they do. I could never even look in a guys direction if they didnt want my kids around. Sorry but bye bye. There goes the door. I cant stand when moms do that.
