dilemma about labor!!! need help!!

Me and my husband moved to St. Louis in december we have no friends or family here so noone to watch my daughter when I go into labor. my daughters B-day is August 29th and I am due sept.9 my parents had planned on coming to get her on her bday well they wouldnt leave til the day after. So I wouldnt go into labor if my heart disease comes back (if it will it will be in the last 4 weeks or so I am 32 weeks now) I will have to be on bedrest hospitalized or they will have to induce me depending on how serious it is and on top og that what is I go into labor at 37 or 38 weeks then I ill have my daughter my baby shower is next weekend in Louisville and my mom is coming so my question is should I have my mom go ahead and take her then (she promises to still come up and bring my duaghter back for her B-day and then take her back with her if I havent had the baby yet) that just seems so long to be away from her! what do you ladies think should I wait til aug. 29th or go ahead and have them take her now?

does your hospital have a family birthing rooms? i was thinkign maybe she could stay in a back corner of the room, or maybe she can sit in the waiting oom with some crayons and stuff? does your mom plan on comign when you go into labor? maybe she will make it in time to sit with her in the waiting room? but if you feel like she should go now, just in case, i would let her go to grandmas for awhile. how far away does your mom live? i think thats the whole issue here.

its 5 or 5 and 1/2 hrs away

Well just think of it as time to relax cause you will have your hands full when the little baby comes. I had my little girl stay with her grandma but that was only two days.
Maybe you could have your mother stay at your place... or is that not an option. cause it would make you not worry as much

no my mom has work so she cant just stay with us and I would like my hubby with me fro the delivery and if we have Jaimie even if my mom leaves as sson as I go into labor that is 5 hrs of me in labor and tryin to keep a 4 yr old under control!

and if I get put on bedrest or hospitalized my hubby will still have to work so I dunno I am so confused!

i am to, but i met some awesome ladies off of here, and i have let one lady watch her, and the other lady i would trust as well. you have a month to meet someone and get to know them well enough for her to go there for a couple hours until your hubby can go get her after you hav the baby.

ya cuz over a mnth is way to long for my daughter to be gone!!!! I would lose my mind!

I cant imagine being away from my daughter for a month, it would drive me crazy too, but you and your hubby need to do whats best for you and the baby right now and if thats your only option, do it. I know its hard. I work third shift and my mil lives 45 min away. She wont drive here every day to baby sit so when I work (4 days in a row, 3rd shift) she takes her for 5 days. I dont like it, but what are we to do, we cant afford a babysitter! I know the feeling, and just think, you could get all your nesting done, spend some time with the hubby, you guys could drive up there sometimes if you wanted to, and she could have a mini vacation to grammies!
