Question

I've seen lots of posts about getting your membranes stripped. What exactly is that? What do they do and what for? Does everyone get that done?

When they check your cervix they can "rub" your water bag with the tip of thier finger to get the hormone that causes labor to get moving. Not everybody gets it done, it depends on the doctor you are seeing and what their policy is about it.
