When I was 15 my best friend & I used to meet guys off the net all the time. &We'd lead them on &what not but then never EVER think about going through with anything we said..... we normally met them in a public place then went back to their house &just hung out so it's pretty much the same thing. Looking back now I realise how STUPID we were & how lucky we were that those guys weren't complete creeps!

!!     ! i meet a couple friends in Tokyo when me and my friend went there (a few people from online) but we met them like firght in front of the 109 building in Shibuya and lol that is as in public as it gets lmao!

I think after a week it's a bit risky, but you kind of have to judge it on a person to person basis.

I'm going to Vegas next weekend with a man i met online, i've known him for about a month and a half, but in that month and change we've talked for hours every day, and i know more about him than i did either of my previous two relationships (including my (ex)husband  ...pretty sad) anyway...so i do believe it's possible to form a hard and fast bond with people via the net. *I* didn't personally feel comfortable with meeting at his house, and Mya was the major reason behind it...i'm not just looking after my safety, my actions affect her too, so i do think that woman was irresponsible in that regard. not to mention C. and some other e-besties would have flogged me if i'd gone to his house first LOL.

To be honest i have no clue where we will first meet, whether it'll be at the hotel, a bar, etc... but i'm flying in first, the plane and hotel (paid for by him) and both in my name so that i can check in, leave, fly back as i please. I made sure another friend was going to be there that same weekend so that if something gets creepy i have a couch to crash on in her hotel room. I've activated the GPS locator device on my phone and will be in constant communication with several people. so i think it has to be judged on a case by case basis.

I met my boyfriend on Yahoo! Personals. We met in person AT MY JOB after we'd talked for about a month.And then talked non stop after that. I'd NEVER meet someone at a private place first.

For more reason's then just this, she's not a very good mom. So I know Nolan isn't/wasn't on her mind as Mya is yours.

I met Brock on Myspace. We first met at a movie theater (our first date), our 2nd date was at a football game and our 3rd date was out to eat. After the third date he came back to my house and we watched a movie in bed. (and yes, it was just a movie!). He came to my house like 1 month after we met =]

I honestly don't think she cares if she does. I've tried to support her, but it gets frustrating when she asks for advice but NEVER takes it. She's made promises to her son and broke them. That to me is unfathomable(sp) to me.
