hCG levels with multiples

Do the hCG levels go up when you're pregnant with twins or more and would a pregnancy test show up sooner than usual with multiples? Just curious cause my family has a history of twins and my fiance is a twin so I am worried if I am going to have them. I just took a test and I am 5 DPO and it came up a light positive.

And the only reason I know that is from watching Jon and Kate Plus 8. When she was talking about conceiving her sextuplets, her pregnancy test was positive a week and a half before it "should have been".... and of course pregnancy tests detect the hCG in your pee.. so that makes sense.

not always though because i had been seeing a fertility specialist and got pregnant during a month I was not taking anything and my counts came back so high they had me come back the next day because they thought it may be multiples. But no just one baby in here. Best of luck!
