Wat is ur opinion on BC? As teens, which ones r best 4 u guys (side effects weight gain moodiness?)

Until we were trying to get pregnant, I was taking Meliane and it worked great. Made my periods a lot easier to handle too and made my skin the best it's ever been. Haha! As far as weight gain... I gained weight after I got hitched but I'm not thinking that was because of the BC.

It's a really low dose pill. The doc perscribed it to me because I was having migraines really bad and the doc didn't want to screw up my hormones too bad. Yasmin was another low dose one she suggested. Good luck finding something that works for you!

I am on the shot. Its working good for me. No bad side effects atleast from what I see! Ummm Just I havent had a period which is fine by me

I used to be on Yasmin, worked really well and didn't have any bad side effects. Now I'm on the shot because I can't for the life of me remember to take a pill everyday. I really like it, there's no pill to take everyday and no bad side effects. I just still haven't had my period and I haven't breastfed since April, but that's fine with me. lol

I was on the shot also. I loved it because you didn't have to worry about it for 3 months, and I also didn't get a period at all while I was on it! (which was awesome) The only thing is, they recommend that you take a calcium supplement while you're on the shot because it is associated with the loss of bone density.

I was on Yasmin from the age of 17-19 and I loved it!!! My skin was flawless, I lost weight, my hair actually grew. I stopped taking it and didn't get pregnant until almost a year later. Now i'm back on it and it's doing a good job so far.

i have heard the most effective form of bc now is Implanton.. the thingy they implant in your arm.
i would have def. gotten it if my dr. would have mentioned it before!
or mirena..
im on nuvaring.. ive heard bad things about it though. it scares me.
i was on depo.. never again. i was a raging bitch from hormonal hell lol. as well as fat, lost hair, got MORNING SICKNESS [wtf! lol that suckkkekddd.. made me thing i was preggo a time or two] i dind't have periods for 2 mths.. third month i would get it for two weeks and it was terrible... and my face was ugly as a pizza..
but whatever you choose.. just make sure its the right one for you.. you may have to do some trial and error, like i am w/ the ring.. i think im gona switch to mirena.

lol.
i mean it was convient not having to remember to take a pill or a ring out lol [i always forget when to take this thing out!]
and it is pretty effective w/ preventing pregnancy. but IMO, not worth it.
i have had no side effects w/ the ring, ive lost a ton of weight [so no weight gain, weight loss due to my diet.] so that part is good, ive just heard of alot of people getting pregnant by using it 100%.. scarry.
i'd go w/ mirena if you are looking for something that you dont have to remember everyday. or implanton ifyou are willing to venture into something new, and having a plastic thing placed under your skin. [ouch!]
