how long do all the mommies plan on breastfeeding?

As long as its working out for both me and my daughter! At least 6 months, just to reach that landmark, but hopefully more like a year, or MORE!

I planned on breast feeding my daughter for about 6-12 months but my milk dried up after 3 weeks i was SOOOO devastated,Oh well at least she got the good stuff. How long did u want to feed for?

I plan on breastfeeding atleast until a yr but hopefully more like 2 yrs.

I am thinking for the first year. This is my first baby, so I'm really nervous about it. I have no idea how it will go, but I'm certainly hoping for the best. I really want to breastfeed.

I saw this show on tv the other day, and this woman was still breastfeeding her daughters at ages FIVE and EIGHT. That is just INSANE to me. Absolutely no way!

6 to 8 months for me

I am gonna try to BF for as long as we can. Although I will likely wean him around 8-ish months or definately by the first year if we go that long.

My milk dried up within the first month so no go for me,but I wanted to BF for the first yr.

Hopefuly with my next one I'll be able too. 

right now im going on 2 months of bfing.....but im going to start working soon and pumping just does not work for me...i have to manually(like a cow) get it out..but it takes forever... i want to go to a yr at least but if not she already has everything she needed right?

So far we have been bfing for 9 1/2 months. I'm hoping for 2 years.

i breastfed nate for 13 months-but he decided to stop on his own.... 
I was hoping for 2 yrs.

Most of my friends have given up really quickly...

With my first child, I didn't breastfeed because he wouldn't latch on. With my second, I said I would breastfeed as long as I could. I ended up having to stop at 13 months because she didn't want any solid food and was still nursing 7-9 times a day and at that time they should only be doing it about 2 times a day.
I am now pregnant with my third and plan on breastfeeding as long as possible again.
For those of you that weren't able to breastfeed long, the doctor says that every little bit helps!

I have breastfed my other kids for 6 months, 13 months, 8 months,8 months, 11 months and 23.5 months.
I hope to breastfeed this one for 12-24 months .
