Easy bruising and itchy skin

For the past 3 weeks I've had severely itchy skin every so often, well over the past 3 days I've been noticing bruises all over my body from where I've been scratching, I take iron pills because I'm anemic, is it normal to have bruises with itchy skin? I look like I've been beat up on my legs and I've never had bruises like this before, I'm getting freaked out because we leave for vacation the 22-31, and IDK when I'd be able to get into the dr and I don't think this is worth going to the er for, they'd look at me like I was silly. Any ideas??

I know the itching is normal, but I haven't heard of the bruising.

It might not actually be bruising. It could just be those annoying dark spots [I can't remember the name] that have a tendency to show up during pregnancy.

Good point, but it looks like bruises, maybe because I'm fair skinned? I was taking a bath and shaving and saw them and I was like OMG

The itching is definitely very normal. I have found a couple of bruises on myself that I have no idea how I got them. I think if it's really an excessive amount then you might want to mention it to your doc. You don't necessarily have to go in for a visit. Perhaps just give him/her a call.

This reminds me,when I was in the shower tonight I noticed a bruise on my legggggg! sorry no help but I'd say the itchin is normal,not too sure about the bruises though.

i had a similar thing when i was about 8/9 weeks prego, the inside of my legs at the top where soo itchy to drove me insane for days..i developed the hugest bruises there andit to weeks for them to go  
i still have slightlydarkened patches  

mine is the same way, the lower part of my stomach i very itching prolly because its growing, but ive noticed its sore to like its bruised. i dont see a bruise.....but it hurts like it is. so i feel your pain

Like everyone said, the itchy skin is definetally normal from pregnancy, I've noticed some bruising too. It is more common with the Anemia, one sigh/simptom is easily bruising.
