re: Gowns or "pajamas"

i used gowns at first..i still use them on occasion....i usually dot eh onesie and sleeper thing though...it really just depends on what i feel like making her wear and the temp in the house...she is wearing a long sleeved gown tonight though..i have it cold tonight im soo freaking hot!!

i have gowns, but have yet to use him, he usually just sleeps in a onesie.

i put him in just a tshirt and pants sometimes but i don't like that because the shirt is always riding up.

I loveeee the Halo sleep sacks. (The bottom one!) We have tried them all & those are my favorites. I don't like using blankets (because of the risk of SIDS) and those act as a wearable blanket.I usually put on a long-sleeved onesie with it, because my hubby keeps the AC too cold for him to go sleeveless.

We put him in sleepers mostly. My house was usually cool enough to do that, if not sleepers then a onesie with pants or just socks..... But my son also always had a blanket. We watched him and grew to understand his sleep patterns. He would usually kick off his blanket instead of pull it up to his face. I guess I was just lucky though.

I tried gowns and sleep sacks with my second and hated them. I found that regular footed sleepers were just fine, didn't let any air in and were warm and easy enough for middle of the night changes.

I put Rogue in PJ's with and without feet and she also gets put in the gowns too, the gowns are great for middle ov the night changings. She also gets put into the Halo sleep sacks once in a while, but usually PJ's or gowns are what I use.

I had Drew in a beanie type hat, just a light cotton one to keep his head warm..(its winter here) and i woke to hear him snuffling and sniffing and wriggling aroung in his bassinette...which is right next to my bed. I sat up to check him and the hat was all the way over his face!!!! I freaked out big time.. be careful putting a hat on them.. make sure its the right size. PLEASE dont do what I did.

I use the polar fleece sleeping bags for my kids...they are blanket kickers and at least if they are in the sleep sack they stay warm..the ones I have have sleeves. so pj's on Joel and onsies underneath for Drew..
