Cloth or regular diapers???

posted 18th Jul
I don't know if I should do cloth diapers or regular diapers?
Any suggestions? Or people that have used the cloth diapers?

I'm gonna use Gdiapers with this baby I think, havent tried them yet but I've heard they are awesome! Combine the best of both worlds... disposables but also garbage free and biodegradeable... and no diapers to wash. Sounds like a great compromise to me!

You do have to wash the outsides and inside liner cause poop gets on them when they go but it's not to bad.

I LOVE the new cloth diapers. Many have velcro just like disposables. You can add extra soaker pads into them to customize them to your child. Cloth wipes are wonderful too, They clean so much better and are more comfortable for their skin. There are all sorts or woolies, longies and shorties to cover the diaper and contain leaks, no more plastic rubber things, eeeeeeeeewwwwwwwwww. Cloth diaper kids have fewer rashes and usually potty train quicker.

A starter kit(2 pants, 4inside liners and 10 flushable liners)is about $26 and you have to buy the flushable liners and they are a little more than regular diapers.

I tried out the GDiaper and I loved them, but found them to be too pricey for me. I recently ordered the BumGenius 3.0 cloth diapers and I can not wait to get them. They appear to be so simple to use from everyone I know that uses them and in the long run, they are much cheaper!!

Can you let me know how they turn out? I really want what's best for my baby's bum but I don't have tons of money...

Those Bumgenius ones look really cool if you wanna go with cloth, I found a great site www.kellyscloset.com that has that brand, plus several other brands that look awesome in all their own ways..... and they have starter kitsfor around 200 bucks for most the brands. I think cloth diapers are so cute! I just dont know if I wanna do all that laundry.   I'm still considering it though, having some cloth and then some Gdiapers for when I'm out and about and wanna flush em or throw them out and not feel guilty for clogging the landfills and putting nasty chemicals and plastics and petroleum products and fragrance on my baby's skin.... Pampers and other disposables are so full of nasty ingredients!

That's what we are doing. We will continue to get the gdiapers for out in public and times when a cloth diaper is just not really feasible. Also, just in case our babysitter doesn't enjoy the clothies!

Come in both Snappy's and Velcro's, both forms have advantages over the other.

We love our Cloth Diappy's!! Though the Next baby we may go with a Diaper service.
