Quoting TokyoRose♥:“ yeah there is an amzing video that goes with a book called natural birthing and they had about 5 births ... [snip!] ... do it at home but i read that if anything goes wrong then its on the parents.are you going to have a midwife or a doula there?”

yes, my midwife will be there, as well as my husband and my mom. (my mom has had 6 kids, so i feel like she's experienced enough )
i'm trusting my intuition that nothing will go wrong. i also talk to my baby about it. i know that sounds weird, but i feel like i have this connection with my baby and an understanding that me and her will work together with my body during the birth process and allow the birth to happen without fear. fear is what makes the pain so bad, after all...

With my daughter I was on Medicaid and they covered everything except 250 dollars for the facility fee! I thought that was pretty reasonable for getting to have the birth that I wanted at the birthing center instead of the hospital.

Oh and just to add, if you have a midwife present at your homebirth, they are responsible just like if you had your baby at a birthing center or a hospital under their care. If something goes wrong, they will know in enough time to get you to a hospital if a true medical emergency occurs. (which is pretty rare) They are very competent and usually much more attentive andin tune with you and whats going on in your body than the hospital staff! (I know, I've attended plenty of hospital births with friends and I REFUSE to give birth in one.)

I also never had a contraction longer than 45seconds or so and they never got too close together.

Breathing through the contractions helps a ton!

!! absoFUCKINGlutly!!!

I hated it. I went all natural but it is soo hard to control your mind and body in a hospital setting. I was confined to a bed and strapped to monitors. I was able to get out of bed twice, once to pee then I begged the nurse to let me try to poop real quick towards the end of labor.

I am on Medicaid and found a birthing Center that has the tub and the whole hotel like-rooms. I didn't even start going there until I was 8 and 1/2 months pregnant and am ecstatic about it. I have a few websites saved that have national databases for midwifes if you are interested.

Quoting TokyoRose♥:“ okay im planning on having an all natural waterbirth with my first child.we do have a history of premature ... [snip!] ... bad things about the first birth being the hardest so does anyone have any tips or advice maybe even an experience to share?”

I'm not sure about the premature birth thing, but nowadays there are early tests you can get to make sure your baby doesnt come early, i think its called the febronectin test or something like that. Google it up and mention it to your doctor if your concerned. The next time I go to have another baby I want it to be a water birth, because i never got the chance to look into it the first time.
