cramping & other questions at 22 weeks?

posted 18th Jul
hii. i've noticed while i was sleeeping or when i wake up i'd have really bad cramps in my legs. like ... i stretch my legs as soon as i wake up & all of a sudden they start to cramp up really bad & hurt. i've always done it, but now they're starting to hurt? i don't know.. maybe its just me.

also, i'm definitely not the best at taking pills. especially the huge horse pills (aka prenatal vitamins). i usually end up taking them a couple times a week because of this, instead of every day. sometimes they make me feeel icky & nausey too. i hope everything is still gonna turn out okay? idk. i mean i eat pretty healthy too for the most part, lots & lots of fruits & veggies every day. is there an easier way to take them?

help?

hm.. i was taking women's one a day and those made me feel soooo crappy and they were bigger .. then i got prescribed these ones i'm getting off base and they're half the size, they don't make me sick, and they don't make me constipated either..

i don't know, this is my first pregnancy also.. maybe you could switch?

I lucked out and found a non-horse sized prenatal. Some brands are larger than others, look on the box most have a picture and say "actual size". Another tip is take the pill right before you go to bed, right after the teeth-brushing - that way if it makes you sick atleast you're asleep and won't notice as much (atleast it worked with me. but I'm a super heavy sleeper)

You can take Flintstone kids' vitamins

And the leg cramping is normal. Wait til you are like 35 weeks - UGH.

You can try a different kind of prenatal vitamins or just crush the ones you have and mix it with something you like (yogurt, applesauce, etc) See if that helps. As for the leg cramps. Welcome to pregnancy. LOL. I have gotten them too throughout my pregnancy. Very common

well its less of me feeling sick.. than more of the huge pills going down. i know its mostly psychological with taking pills & whatnot, but i seriously can't do it sometimes.

i was thinking maybe putting them in a shake or something? mixing them in with food?
but i have the regular vitamin & the stupid gel one too. so it would only work for one.

My OB/GYN told me to take 2 flintstones a day and they would supply everything I needed.

I couldnt swallow the big pills either. I would have to drink like hot cider to "melt" them down my throat. It would take like 2-3 hours every night for me to feel like they went down (after gagging on them first).
