Im 35 weeks and 1 CM dilated

Hi everyone,
I went to the doctors for a check up yesterday and it turns out I am 1 CM dilated and my Cervix is really soft. I woke up today and I have been having Contractions all day long. My back is killing me and Im so tired. Could this be the real deal?.. or am I just thining out more and I still have a while to go?.. I've had two other kids but they were born on there due dates with no early contractions, atleast not like these. :*(

It could be back labor, thats how mine always felt. If it gets worse I would go in to L&D

with my second i was 4 cms at 34 weeks... and still had to be induced at 40w5d...

but you may be different... i would at least get checked out momma

I was 2cm for a month.

I was 4cm by 35 weeks and 7cm by 37 weeks. It could still be a few weeks. I'd take it easy though, so he can bake a little longer and develop his lungs.

Did you have pain everyday for over 6 weeks?..... and thanks for the advice 

I was a 3 for three weeks with my first, had my second at 36 weeks and so far maybe a fingertip dilated if that this one. kinda weird how each one is different

ya thats true. Im just a little weirded out because I've been having them pretty constant all day. I feel like Crap. Did you have pain being dilated for three weeks?

No I didn't have any pain for the three weeks I was dilated with the first. The dr just told me. However with this one I am in a lot of pain and not progressing!! Right now I have contractions every 3-5 minutes apart. I was in L & D yesterday but they said nothing was happening *frustrating* So if it is getting worse and it feels like cramps in your back or stomach it could be that your baby is posterior because that is how my first was, it was all in my back and didn't feel like contractions, more like bad cramping

Not sure if you know, but the more children you have, your cervix never closes back as tight. So this being your third child. 1cm does not really mean a lot. I had continuous bouts of false labour from 35 weeks on.Very painful contractions ect. I also was 4 cm at 35 weeks. I was told to take it very easy and was put on pelvic rest till 38 weeks. My son was born at 39 weeks.
