re: For those that had Natural Births

hi i've been following this thread. learnt a lot of good advice, so thank you mommies.
i also want to have an all natural birth - so if everything is fine when i'm due, i'd like to have a water birth at home, with a doula and midwife and a hired birthing pool. i decided to ask them NOT to offer me Any medication unless i ask for it. i hope it's not unrealistic  
re. pooping while pushing... my midwife told me you can request an enema before you start the push, to avoid pooping all over the place, or worse, on your own baby! but serious, the dr/nurses/midwife have seen this so many times, they could act pretty quickly and catch it   before you mess on anything lol!

thats awesome that you are doing a homebirth with your first! you will do great! i want to do a homebirth with my next child, whenever that is.

haha.. I don't ever think it's far fetched to want a natural birth.. I'm just not ruling out any possiblities that I may not be able to havea natural one, given any circumstances..

And my mom's doc was really cool about it, she said, "I don't care what I say, I don't want any drugs unless it's absolutely necessary.."

So, when she started saying, "Give me drugs!" her doc just laughed and said, "Nope... we're going natural, just like you wanted.. there's no need for drugs"
