I am having a little girl and my boyfriend has pink-phobia! He freaks out at the color. Says she is going to be Daddy' little lady, who isn't allowed to wear pink. Everyone including myself just laughs at him. But thanks to his pink-phobia everything anyone buys for me is pink, just to be smart-ass. I like the color just fine, but I don't want everything in pink. We even found a onies that is bright pink and says Daddy's little lady on it. But i found some pjs that are blue and have video game related things on them just for my boyfriend ( we both are gamers)

I hate pink, so my daughter wears green, blue and black mostly  But no matter what a baby wears, they still usually get called a boy if they're a girl or a girl if they're a boy.

I hate that if you want something with dogs or puppies 99.9% of them will come in blue...
Only poodles come in pink.

I don't understand it either...some people get so offended by it. It's the same with dogs...I'm a dog groomer and some people get into such a tizzy if you call their dog the wrong gender.

Quoting Carla Ann:“ I just don't think that rests on the kid. Somewhere along the line, something has told them that they are a girl/boy and it would be COMPLETELY unacceptable to be called anything else.”

I dont care and we never said anything about it (they mistake the youngest all the time)but the oldest she cant stand it. Some kids WANT to be seperate and they actually want to be with only girls and people to be able to tell right away they are a girl. I wouldnt want to be called a guy so I can see where they are coming from.

I dont see a problem for a girl to want to be seen as a girl and a boy to want to be seen as a boy. Same as a woman and a man. Sorry but I would NOT be attracted to a guy who looked like a girl.

There is a 5yr old boy in the family, he is very "dainty" he likes to play with dolls and anything pink or "girly"

He is constantly chastised for it by his dad and the other people in his family, so he sneaks and plays with the purple unicorns or whatnot, but when people come around he quickly throws the toy away.

It makes me sad that at such a young age he knows that it is "wrong" for him to play with "girl" toys.

My daughter picks out her own clothes now but they are for the most park girly colors. I don't dress my son in pink because it honestly just doesn't seem a boy color. Call me old fashioned, LOL. However when he gets older he'll pick his own clothes just like his sister does.

they shouldnt be told what they can play with..if my daughter wants to play with cars i aint stopping her..an i heard if boys play with dolls at a young age they tend to make better dads.

lol My son will play with anything and if someone says something about it he will laugh and say "yeah" and keep playing. He refuses to wear anything "girly" though. Some one calls him a girl he gets PISSED.
