I think it's a boy...

I went in for my sonogram to find out the sex, and I got a "pretty sure it's a boy" from the nurse. The baby kept it's legs closed for almost the entire session, but gave us a glimpse when it kicked once. I just need to know if it'd be ok to tell everyone it's a boy. I have had a gut feeling it's a boy since I got pregnant, and I'm pretty sure that's what he is. I guess if I'm wrong, I can just return the stuff and exchange it for girl stuff right??? Let me know what you think.

You mean exchange the testicle warmers for vagina warmers? Yeah, you can do that.

I personally wouldn't tell anyone until i was sure...but if you want to take a chance on having to take a bunch of stuff back and exchange it then..go right ahead. Will you be getting another ultrasound anytime soon? if so, i'd just wait.

I'd understand the excitement of wanted to tell everyone for sure, i'd say if you're dying to tell them, say exactly what you did in this post! "We aren't for sure yet, but my gut feeling all along and the small glimpse we got indicates.. BOY!"

i was convinced that my gut feeling was right about me being pregnant with a girl for half of my pregnancy and then they told me i was having a boy.. I would tell people but just make sure that you tell them that they weren't 100% positive when they told you that way they can get you stuff that's unisex like white, yellow, and green

I wouldnt tell everybody yet. I would probably just stick to what you told us, you went to the doctor . . . maybe its a boy . . . i have a feeling its a boy . . . but we arent sure yet.

I'm in the same situation. I went in yesterday for mine and the tech said that he was 80% sure it's a girl. He showed us the three little lines that makes him think it's a girl and I'm pretty sure it is but I wish he would have said for sure! I'll go back for another in a few weeks to make sure. Although I already told everyone it's a girl!!!  

you could definately always exchange things, but if it were me, I'd make my doctor give me another ultrasound to find out for sure. Whats the point of having an ultrasound to find out what the sex is if you didn't find out!!

The SAME exact thing happened to me. The US tech said, "I don't want to make any promises, but I'm pretty sureI saw a penis when the baby kicked." (The babies legs were closed.) Well when we went back a few weeks later we found out it's a GIRL. She wasn't shy that time around and it was very obvious she was a girl. So based on my experience, I would wait if I were you. (I do wonder what she was seeing when she thought she saw a penis that time though. LoL.)

my gut feeling.. my parents and my grandparents and all my friends thought i was having girl... at 24 weeks the doctor said its definetly a boy and showed me and took a picture.. after studying it for a very long time i started to question whether it really was a byo or if that was just the umbillical cord in the way because my neighbor who is also pregnant was first told it was a boy and her mom and friends bought her a bunch of boy things and then at her next ultrasound the dr said oh wait that was just the cord nevermind its definetly a girl! so i ended up getting all her boystuff, she just gave it to me yay. anyways... up until monday i wasnt sure still and though oh man what if im actually having a girl... well i say to myself im having this u/s on monday ill just ask her if its still a boy and make sure i can keep all the blue stuff ive already got. well first thing that shows on the screen when she hooks the monitor up and shows me.. i dont even have to ask.. this was it and she took this picture for me. BALLS IN YOUR FACE! lol. he's not shy...

yea there was no question about my US yesterday...it was pretty apparent he was a boy!

My insurance only pays for 2, and that was my second one. I'm just hoping that due to the positioning, they can say that it's medically necessary to have another one that way we can find out for sure. I'm fixing to go watch the video again, and press pause repeatedly so I can get a better look. I'll let you guys know if and what I find out!
