Is it safe to be in the room while hubby is painting?

posted 18th Jul
m 5 months pregnant, it's BEHR paint. He is painting, but we are sharing our room with the baby so I am doing my work on the computer and he is painting. Is this safe?

Yeah as long as you can breath ok, keep it ventilated or open a window like you would normally when painting. I've painted half my house so far while nesting

There is some safe fume paint out there (not behr) that costs more than normal paint I believe.

Oh... I am never around paint! Pregnant or not, because for some reason any type of paint fumes give me asthma symptoms.

Thanks, they're not as nice as seeing Bella on your picture but I try.
I'e only heard about the paint so I'm not even sure. I do know that I've used almost every major brand in the last few months around my place though.

My fiance and I just painted our bedroom last weekend and bought the "Yolo" paint brand from Benjamin Moore... it has zero VOC (honestly I have no idea what that stands for, but it's supposedly one of the best kinds and it's not tooooo much more expensive than other brands)... the stuff was amazing though and we painted in the afternoon and there was very little odor and then by evening there was absolutely no smell at all. It was great. Otherwise just wear a mask to be safe (I wore one anyways even with the "no VOC" paint)

I'll look into that ;) Thanks!

Behr is safe, any non-lead based paint is safe. There is some expensive brand out there, I don't even know where to find it, that has no fumes at all I think.
