POTTY TRAINING... UGh

posted 18th Jul
My son is 2 and will be 3 nxt yr Jan. I have been potty training him since ONE!!!! he is so stubborn!!! he will "pee pee" on the potty! but "boo boo" OH NO that is where the problem comes in. Ive tried letting him hang loose that works for peeing ONLY! He will hold his bowels until i put on underwear or a pull-up! Ive tried buying his fav animated character undies and telling him not to get them wet... but he'll say uh oh spiderman went boo boo! lol its cute but at the same time its getting ridiculous and im ready to give up now that im becoming bigger in my pregnancy! But i refuse to buy newborn diapers and pull-ups... thats a NO NO... praying for a miracle!!!! and trying to notlet him se im defeated (cause i really am)
...... mother who is more confused on potty training than her kid!!!

What do you do when he has to go? Does he give signs? Can you tell he's going? My daughter absolutely did not want anyone in the bathroom with her. Once she got her privacy, she did fine!

when he has to go he will come and get me no matter what time of day/night or he starts to squat!

a good sign is that he doesnt wet the bed at night so i KNOW he is ready! he is just stubborn!

Hmmmmm.... Mine was really easy to train, so I am not much help. Sorry... Don't give up though!!! He will get it!! I know it is stressful, but just have faith in the little buddy. When he is ready, he will "Blow it up" just as good as the big boys do.

I don't get it...if he tells you he has to go, why is he having a hard time?

ive read some stuff before about potty training children and at one point a lady was having the same issues as you her kid would pee but not poo...so the dr. gave this explanation, which made sense a bit i guess...they can have no problem going pee because they can see the toilet and see how the pee goes in it, but as soon as he has to sit down and turn his back to where he can't watch what is happening things start running through his mind...this is the age of Imagination...so God only knows what they think could happen to them if they turn they're back LOL just try to keep calm and patient my daughter is 4 and is completely potty trained durning the day...its at night where we can't seem to get her to not wet the bed. but its normal and it sometimes takes time. hang in there before you know it he'll be droping loads where your gonna be saying Good lord!!!! where's the freshner! lol

Well he poops in the pull up or underwear have you tried taking it off of him going into the bathroom and putting IT in the toilet to show him thats where it goes and then have him flush the toilet he may get it after a few times but then again maybe not every child is different. I know people who do that and make their children sit on the potty for 15 minutes then let them flush afterwards!

how'd you get him potty trained so fast?

i've been trying to potty train my son since he was 1 1/2 and he still doesn't completely get it. he tells us when he has to go but sometimes he waits until after he's done it in his pull ups to tell us
