lactose Intolerance

I dont know if this is a pregnacy issue or not but i was wondering if it was normal to develope some kind of Lactose Intolerance while pregnant...the last few days if i drink straight milk my tummy starts hurting and then i stink lol

Its possible to develop an allergen to milk when you become an adult, but its also normal to be gassy when prego.

I have the EXACT same problem as you. But its not only when i drink straight milk, its ice cream too. Im going to be watching this thread to see what others say.

lol...i wouldnt think it was weird if the gs was normal...i havent been to gassy so far...but i damn near gassed myself out of my room after breakfast this morning haha

Oh my goodness.....GASSY! I was so gassy in my first trimester....it hurt so so bad, I felt like I was pregnant with gas the size of a basketball that didn't wanna come out. I get it still only sometimes but in the begining I was bloated with gas like crazy but mine wouldn't come out unless I kneaded it out. 

I can't drink milk, eat cheese or anything like that since I got pregnant without paying for it later, but with me it's not just gas :-P I actually get sick. I never had a problem with it before.. I asked my doctor and he said that it's possible for you to develop lactose intolerance while pregnant, so now i just kinda deal with it... I heard there was some sort of pill you can take but idk?

with both of my pregnancies, my 2nd trimester was ssoooooGASSY!!! lol

Gas hasnt been a problem for me at all up until the begining of this week...i love milk...i dont want to have to give it up...but i guess its only going to be for a few weeks so i will if i must

yeah, i get sick too sometimes....at least i know its normal now tho...ill just have to cut milk from my diet

But make sure that you get the calcium and stuff that you and the baby need :-P

i eat those really yummy caramel calcium chew things....they are the shit...i would eat them like candy if i could

Never even heard of them... maybe ill have to look into that. Kindof sucks that one of the only things i've craved since i got pregnant is chocolate milk :-) Isn't that how it always is, crave the things that you cant have :-P :-)

thats the name brand one, i have the store brand kind...they are really good, its hard to keep yourself from just chowing down lol

oh ok. So those are safe to take while prego? I should look into those. Are there different flavors?

lol, i hope they are safe....my doc didnt say they wernt when i told him i was taking them....they come in chocolate, dark chocolate, caramel and i think vanilla...but im not sure what else
