Haha... Wow. Same situation happening to me. But he's such a half-ass it's not even funny. He'll say that he wants in, but doesn't act upon it. Ofcourse I'm not falling for his shit again, but at the same time I'm not going to keep my daughter away.

I'm with you on this one. He may be one of those super-dads coming to save the day, or he may just be another one of those "I think it's the right thing to do" dads and end up leaving again shortly. In that case, it's only going to hurt you and your baby worse. You have to take a gamble and decide if you're willing to risk getting hurt.

I think if he wants to be a father then you should let him. Sometimes people make mistakes, but I always like to give people a chance to change and prove they have.

yeah i havent talked to him since the day i told him i was pregnant, he never called or anything asking how i was doing how everything was going

I would say you have every right to be upset, but the decision ultimately is up to you! I've gone through basically my entire pregnancy alone and I know if it were me I wouldnt give him the option. I dont know that that is the right thing to do, but the way I look at it... that jerk had his chance!

Dont welcome drama back into your life. Let him be part of his childs life, but make sure he earns it!

no not at all if you did fine without him during your pregnancy I'm sure you can do fine without him when your son arrives.

nope you're not wrong! he didn't want to act like a father before then magically he wants to cause the baby is almost here... what a jerk! he does deserve the right to be a father but he has to earn the privilage and show that he really wants it, that he's not going to just turn his back again

yeah i know i dont want my son to not have a dad but right now he doesnt deserve to be part of his life even if he says he wants to be there i just want to protect him and not have a dad in his life randomly and then not have one it all

Yeah if thast the case then you don't need him. Let him be there for his child but I wouldn't try to start a relationship or anything with him.
