I'm getting it in an HOUR...I don't know why I'm nervous!

Anything I should be prepared for ahead of time?

Im not using that kind of birth control. I dont want anything being stuck in there if it doesnt have to be.

Ill stick with the pill or the shot.

LOL you should already be use to your OB up in there so you have nothing to worry about as for meI set my mind to it that nobody was gunna be up in my shit anymore so when I got mine done it bursted my bubble. lol

my friend has it and she loves it.. I on the other hand have never thought about using it.. i always think it will fall out or get stuck..

when I got mine put in it hurt a little

Just bring some tylenol.. it doesnt hurt going in, but u do get cramps a little bit after. I was nervous when I got mine too. But its the best, because you hardly get a period.. I'd say I'd get mine once every 6months and it would be light and for a day and it also doesnt release alot of hormones so you dont have to worry about weight gain. I know everyone is different, but thats what my doc told me and it was true, I had mine in for about 2 years.

I had the Mirena after my second child. It was easily put in and did not hurt at all. I was told that I could spot afterwards but I didn't. It also helped with my period...it was much lighter and a lot less painful.

Just cramping. I had mine put in last Friday and it wasn't as horrific as I thought it would be. Also depends on the position of your cervix.

That doesnt make sense.. I had a c-section too and they put mine in 8 weeks after I had my son. Hmmm... are you married? Sometimes if you are young or unmarried they wont give it to you, because you are only suppose to have one partner while on it. They wouldnt give it to my friends for that reason...

I have the spotting   nothing horrific just need to wear a panty liner still.
