new mom period question....

ok. my son is 4 months old and istarted my first period since last year, 3 weeks ago... i am still on it and its horrible....

i want to know if its normal for it to be this weird .
ok 3 weeks of, soakin and ruinin almost every pair of jeans and undies i own, changin pad AND tampon once an hour every hour bc of being soaked.
i woke up surrounded by blood this morning and its freakin me out.
i always bleed ALOT but ive ever been this bad..
is this normal at all????
help me please

after I had my daughter I had my period for 2 months on & off. Its completely normal to have a long period after you have a baby. I had to use the hospital pads they give you after you have a baby the whole time & I went through about 10 of them a day. But it will end soon thankfully.

That sounds like alot of bleeding... it's probably worth getting checked out for sure. My period after my daughter was definitely heavier, although I tended to have very light periods before I had her. They are definitely heavy now, but nothing like what you are describing. So I'm not sure...... although the first period after baby is often very heavy...

you need to go see your doctor... to make sure your not hemorraging(spelling?) or anything... good luck

I'd definitely call your doc ASAP.

I think that you are talking about the 6-8 week postpartum period? Not getting your first period AFTER baby? Her baby is already 4 months old.....

I bled very heavily for 2 weeks straight with my first PP period. I even went to the doctor. I was ok... I hope you are! Call your doctor to make sure, it wouldn't hurt  

My first pp perios was only 5 days. But the first 3 I was changing a super tampon every 45 minutes. I would call your doc just to be safe. Sounds like a lot of bleeding to me. I hope everything works out!

ive called my doc and he has me comin in at 4. hopefully it is nothing..

ill love for this to go away..

No my first one was that long. My PP was short only 2 weeks but it was black as hell & not so heavy. My first real period was long & heavy.
