Maybe I'm just not familiar with 'older' preemies, but it seems weird to me that they aren't giving her steroid shots. And I can also understand not stopping her labor, but starting it?! Why?!?! Anyways, good luck...

Well, hopefully the baby's lungs are in good shape. I just thought they would give the steroids to all impending premature births before the 35th week. Good luck though.

Maybe they checked the amniotic fluid for lung development? It seems odd to me too that at 33/34 weeks they wouldn't do a steroid shot unless they knew the lungs were okay. Keeping my fingers crossed for your friend!

I know all babies are different but with the steroid shot Drew was still in NICU for 2 weeks. I know it is alot different 2 months but still a long time.

That makes sense. That's the same reason I couldn't get steroid shots. Glad he's here and well! I hope things continue to go smoothly and he can go home with his momma! Congrats!
