Birth certificate HELP!

I was supposed to get Logans birth certificate when he was 10 weeks old,he is now almost 18 weeks old,We move to Las Vegas he was born in California,but my parents still live there and they said it hasn't come in the mail at all.How do I get his birth certificate,I'm going to California tomorrow to visit my family and I wanna get that outta the way while I'm out there

Here in SC you can just go to the health department and pay like $12 and wait 10 minutes

Call the human services dept. they can either process your request there or give you the number to call.

i didnt get my daughters until she was 2 but you could call them or go pick it up. they have the site online for each city and state

Where I am in CA you have to go to the vital records dept and pay 17 dollars and wait 10 or 15 mins. They didnt mail Tait's out

Usually its the office of vital statistics/records in whatever city he was born. Our hospital didn't give us one... we had to purchase it, which I think is crap! hah.

where in ca are you now? with my son the hospital gave me a paper i could mail in or go down there. The place was in Santa Ana so maybe if you call the hospital they can tell you where to go..

did you pay for it? in cali they dont send you a birth certificate unless you mail in the form and pay $17. not even 1 copy without paying. usually the hospital gives you the form to send. if you google it, you can find the form to print out and send. either way it takes 6-8 weeks, even if you go directly to the city hall to turn in the form. (i had my son in cali)

Welll he wsa born in Hemet,small ass town do you think they would even have a vital record dept there?

My hospital told me my first one would be free,and if I needed a copy that would cost money I filled out forms in the hospital and they said they would send it in for me.And I have yet to get it,unless it got lost in the mail

unless the hospital pays for it, i dont believe any are free. i looked it up. but it varies by county maybe. and i was in LA county. cheapos. as for it not being delivered, did you change your mailing address by USPS? because government things usually dont get forwarded, it would have been returned to sender and they wont reissue it without more $$ (or course) i would go to this website, i forget what its called, vitalrecords.com or something like it. google it. they will expedite it for you (but it costs like $40) i did that with my wedding cert and i got it pretty quickly.

If there's a courthouse, call there. Or maybe call the hospital you delivered at and find out where to go.

When I get there tomorrow imma go to the hospital and see whats going on with it.
