I'm with you on that one! I filled out my birth plan the other day at my docs appointment and my mom is doing what she can to help me stay on the path of going all natural.

I am not even preg. yet, but I have a 5y/o. I had an Epi. with him! And I will have one with my next as well. Actually... I am planning on having a planned C-section. I ended up having to have one with Jonathan, and I had a tuble, so I am used to the pain of healing. This is prob. gonna sound totally f*cked up... But I want my nuNu to stay perfectly in tact LOL Just seems like a vaginal birth would have to hurt more.

I was doing fine when I was in labor with my son until they broke my water. I held out as long as I could, but when I was at 8cm and 6.5 hours into labor I cracked. More power to all the women who do it drug free. I thought I was going to pass out. I am just going to go into this delivery knowing that I'm getting an epidural.

I am going to try the all natural. It has been eight years for me, but I can always change my mind later. My midwife asked me to prepare a birth plan. You can find a template online. Any how, I think it is a good idea for all the "what-ifs" when the time comes.

My friend tried REALLY hard to go all natural. She cracked tho. About 6 hrs into it, she got an Epi. I don't think I could even make it that long... I'm with you! POWER to those who can!

Yeah my birth plan specifically states that I don't want to be offered an epi or anything...that if I decide I want it...that I will ask. I also am working with a midwife and alternate birthing and labor positions to help relieve pain, and have a hypnobirthing cd ready  .

that's awesome! I also made it clear I dont want drugs unless I say I want them. and if I do end up getting drugs I've decided I want anything but an epi... the thought of that going into my back doesn't sound great to me plus I hear stories of it not working and it going bad, I'd rather have drugs through an IV. I'm a pretty tough girl... I'm pretty sure I can do it... I hope...
