Mama's who gained 45+ pounds ONLY!

posted 17th Jul
Alright, Nothing against you lovely, sexy mama's who gained a whopping15 pounds while pregnant, but I'd like to hear from the wonderful broads who gained in the 45-60 ish (or more!)pound range....

I'm going to be 33 weeks tomorrow and I've gained 44 pounds!! So, Inevitably i'm going to gain some more weight, how long about did it take you ladies to get down to a comfortable weight? I was not a twig before I got pregnant, I was "normal" I'm 5'6" maybe 5'7" and I weighed 155 ish pounds..

I know that being back to "normal" isnt what I should be in the mindset for right now, just hoping for a healthy, happy, baby...and I do.. But as of what we know now, he's 100% healthy and I'm still 100% self conscious about my fat ass.

Thanks for any advice/ stories of how long it took to lose it...

I gained around 48 lbs with my first pregnancy and I lost all but 10 within a few weeks after birth just by eating well and nursing. I was 150 pre-pregnancy. Unfortunately, I got all excited that I lost most of the weight so fast that I let my diet slip and started eating more fast food and sugar. I ended up gaining a lot of weight back. My advice to you is just to nurse (if you are able), eat well (lots of fresh fruits and veggies), and when your doctor clears you start taking the baby out for walks in the stroller to get some exercise. Good luck!

I'm 5'3" and I lost weight before I got pregnant and got down to about 160-165. When I found out I was pregnant....the pounds just kept adding up. At the moment I'm at a stand still of 35-40 pounds. And I'm only 23 weeks.

I hope this weight comes off easy cause I have gained more than half of what I lost, back! I hope it's as easy after pregnancy . And don't worry, I'm self conscious about my fat ass too.

I still won't even have sex with the lights on where I'm so....NOT comfortable.

Yeah I have only gained 23 lbs so far this time and I am hoping to be able to lose it (maybe even more) by continuing to eat well like I have been this pregnancy and working out once I am able to.

I think we as women need to give ourselves a little bit more slack and stop trying to live up to the standards of all the starlets and natural skinny minis out there.. My personal feeling is, if it took you 9 mo. to pack it on, you should give yourself @ least that amount of time to lose it.

I don't want to scare you or anything, but I've never "fully recovered" from my pregnancies.. I was 135 before kids and if I be honest with myself, 150-145 is about as good as it's gonna ever get for me - But my thing is that I've made peace with that since I know I may never be the avid athlete that I once was in highschool.. I'm also a chef so a lil' extra pudge comes with the territory

But take it easy on yourself - we're all built different with varying levels of activity and metabolism (and heck, motivation).

Oh yeah, and the most I've gained in pregnancy weight is 70lbs..

I'm not doing anything special. Idk if you know or not, but I had an E.D. before I got pregnant.
so now I'm eating less than 1,000 caloires a day and breast feeding..
