Isaiah has colic  . He'll be 4 weeks old on Friday, and it just got bad these past few days. From 7 in the morning till about 10:30-11, theres nothing you can do to soothe him, he just cries and cries, and then cries some more...

It hits him again really bad from 8 in the evening, till 12 am, and again, i cant do anything to make him feel better. The only thing that'll make him stop for about 4-5 minutes at a time, is walking him in the kitchen with the dryer on.

My first son never had colic, so any tricks up your sleeves ladies? I've also tried that gripe water, and it does nothing.

Please get a copy of "The happiest baby on the block" DVD.....Reagan had colic and I thought I was going to throw him against a wall and put a bullet in my own head. It was bad.

That DVD really, really helped me alot. Good luck......R outgrew his by 12 weeks or so. Wowsers.

Have you tried to put him on top of the dryer with it going? I did that with my son when he couldnt go to sleep, and he loved it... Its like riding in the car, but heated! (I placed a towel on top of the dryer and laid him on it while holding him.) Good luck!!!

There is this thing called the colic hold.
Put the baby tummy down with their head in your hand, on your arm and walk them around.
Also laying them on their tummy on your lap while patting their little booty, helped us.

Going outside during peek colic hour(s).

I've heard people swear by colic calm.

Gripe water.

If you use a bottle try Playtex Drop Ins, I love them.

Welcome to the colic club.

Hang in there momma!

Aw I hear ya hun. My daughter had colic and it was terrible. There were alot of nights when we would cry together.

What she liked was...well its hard to explain. But if you have your hands locked together like in a cradle like position where your palms are facing you, lay him face down with his head closest to your elbow. My daughter liked to lay like that and then we would just walk and sway and that seemed to help. She could still look around, and I dont know if it was that there was pressure on her belly or what. But maybe try that.

Good luck!

My momused to put me in something (not sure what) and put me on top of the running clothes dryer.

I wouldn't sleep in a crib either, so my parents would have to take turns sleeping with me on the couch everynight.

Have you tried static from the radio?

I know how you feel.
Do you formula feed your son? If so, talk to your ped and see about switching to Enfamil Nutramigen. Extremely expensive formula, but since I started my son on it, he's a totally different baby.

try laying him down on his back and pushing his feed like he's riding a bicycle. it makes their tummies feel better.
or try the basic infant massage.
