Lupus

I was wondering if anyone out there is pregnant with lupus?

i have a 7 month old daughter, but i have it

well i have had lupus for 10 years now... and with my second child i had like 10 ultrasounds my whole pregnancy and they want to do that again... do you think it is that safe...i know the docs are good and dont put you in harm but i was told it may be harmful to have so many

I don't have Lupus - my husband does actually.

But, I don't think having that many ultra sounds is harmful. I know many years ago they only had like one ultra sound - if that - so many people say that they are harmful. I had a lady at work that would argue with me everytime I said I was getting one. She would tell me I was harming my baby - I just ignored her. You are right, if it wasn't safe the doc wouldn't do it. I had like 10 when I was pregnant and my daughter turned out just fine! Good Luck momma

i agree, i dont think its harmful...as my daughter is healthy *knock on wood* i had 8-10 u/s during my pregnancy with her, and an appointment 3 times a month for the first 6 months, then once a week after that. they wont put you through something they know will harm your child, hopefully!!

how is your illness doing while being pregnant so far?

not to bad... with my daughter i was in a lot of pain so they induced me 2 weeks early.... but this one is ok i guess.... i got the rash on my face and arms.. which will go away. but it sucks... i feel like i look weird cause of the red dots... i just tell people i am allergic to the sun and there like ahhhh so other than that not to bad.. i figure it could be worse..

oh you know it could be worse!! i basically had the same thing, but i delivered 10 days early. but i had crazy amounts of pain, to the point to where i dont want to get pregnant ever again lol!! but it could have always been worse for me too!! a lot of people dont understand lupus and pergnancy. they think we are just being babies about the pain. if they only knew lol
