Ingrown toenails.

Not really a pregnancy issue but I don't know where else to put this.

Anyone else have this problem and how did you fix it? I went to the doctor when I was younger and they cut them out from the root and they came back. And now I have to like dig it out of my toe myself adn cut it, but in a few days it back. It's painful and I want it to go away.

What can I do? My toesies hurt.

I got a little "operation" for that, but didnt work completely. There's still one side that grows in. But I guess I'm getting use to it.

I went to school for cosmetology and we would just let the persons toenail grow out a lil further so it was past the skin some. Thats what I do with mine and I don't get them anymore. Just don't cut them short

i have a nub now haha
i used to do pointe and one toenail was soooo badly ingrown it was growing into my toe instead of ontop of it... so they removed it and killed the nail bed so it wouldnt grow back.
i now have nine toenails and one nub haha
it healed nicely though  

As far as I know you just have to make sure your nails are cut straight across. Don't let them get very long and go into the corner of your toe...

I'm used to it too, used to fixing it myself. It's just so annoying ha. and my toesies hurt.

same thing with me but mine dont hurt as bad as they used to i just cut them every 2 weeks or so if it gets annoying.

You can talk to your doc and gets medication for it. Some of them are just topical ointments and some are oral medications. I'm not sure which are safe during pregnancy, but it's worth asking about. I've struggled with the same problem for years and am having my toenail removed in the near future

Rob had them really bad when he was younger, he would have to get shoes that were way bigger, and his big toes were HUGE. They are still kinda messed up looking. He had to have surgery on both of them, and they cut a bunch away...
They also got infected from it, so they had to like... drain his toes, I guess.

Because I have mad haters that thing they're real awesome. They have litterally been stalking me all day sending everything I post to drama.

Aw, yeah.. if they are deep in you probably will have to dig them out. Ouch. Then make sure you soak them in Hydrogen Peroxide to avoid infection.

My lady that does my pedicures said to cut a "v" shape about half way between the edge and the middle. She said it helps them to grow away from the side - dont know how, but thats what she said.
