could i have an infection? plz some help!

So, i had my first yeast infection late in my second pregnancy...around 35wks.
I'm now 3 weeks pp and im not sure if the infection has returned..but i have some symptoms (a lot of itching, but no discharge like i had last time) so im not sure what's going on with me, lol.
Also, i did have 1 stitch after delivery so im not sure maybe that could cause some itching??? I talked to a nurse and she did tell me to go ahead and take the 3 day cycle of monistat but i would rather not have to take the medicine if i don't have an infection...so what do u ladies think?? just some advice! thanks

i would take the nurse's advice... she did go to school for that kidna stuff after all...

i have had 3 yeast infections since having my son! i take that back 4 y.i! they are horrible but it's your hormones getting back to normal and so much change causes them! i never had them before! just once and it was random! it could be your stitches healing and dissolving though! i would get the monistat! it helps!

thanks for the advice!! im planning on getting the medicine tomorrow, i can't stand it any longer!! my worst nightmare is that i will keep getting them!! it sucks cause i've never had a problem before until now, like you had said. hopefully this is the last one i'll ever have to deal with!! good luck to u too!

thanks! they are horrible! i thought that i was getting them from hubby til i spoke with other moms who went through the same thing! i hope i don't have to deal with anymore being 5 months pp! blahhhhh
