I hate Michigan.. *vent*

My fiance was pulled over a year and a half ago and didnt have his insurance card on him. He recieved a ticket, and then showed his proof at the court and payed the fee. Now, we recieved a letter in the mail A WEEK AGO saying that he had $400 in "driver responsibility" fees. He was totally unaware of this and took care of it right away.
He called to make sure that his license wasnt suspended, and was told that they couldnt tell him if it was. Well, he was pulled over this past week because the cop ran his license plate. He was THEN informed that not only were his fees LONG over-due, but that his license was suspended forA YEAR and no one had told him about this. The only reason the cop didnt arrest him was because he told him about me being pregnant.
Now, because of this NEW ticket for driving on a suspended license that the state NEVER told him about, he has to pay ANOTHER $500 dollars in fees PLUS the ticket payments, PLUS the fees to get his license re-instated.


I hate the government. SO VERY MUCH.

The worst part, ITS LEGAL.

on a more serious note...sorry about your fiance, and yes the gov't can suck majorly! look at the damn economy! it's horrible! it's not even affordable to live anymore! i would try and appeal them!

my little brother went thru the same thing pretty much and ended up paying way to much money they just keep sending him bills and him being only 19 just paid them well after my mom finally looked over all his bills turns out they charged him a few times to reinstall his license so make sure you photo copy everything and keep copies of all your checks or however you decide to pay them that way they dont charge you more than once for the same thing
