re: Full moon=labor??

My great aunt always said its "9 moons, not 9 months" and she sticks by it.

i was watching an episode of Deliver Me on Discovery Health and one of the ladies on that show one day was like uh oh its a full moon here come all the babies cause they had a lot of deliveries that night.

I have heard that from a lot of people about full moons theres a lot of babies being born then. im sure its just another one of those old wives tales. but some people swear it has something to do with scientific stuff like the pulling of the tides is affected by the moon, etc...

i posted something about this yesterday. i guess i will see what happens friday. maybe this baby will be one of them that comes then!!

all three of my kids were born on full moons.

and there is scientific truth to the myth about the full moon and lunar gravitational pull and all that sillyness.
I also worked with children with behavioral disorders and 99% of the time behaviors got worse on days that we had a full moon.

Cool site with all the full moons for 1971-2037. See if you were born on a full moon. I was born 3 days after a full moon. My baby is due 1 week after full moon this year. Maybe he'll come a week early.

technically that statement is true because the pregnancy months are based on lunar months.

That's cool, it says I was born 2 days before.

i was born 3 days after a new moon, i suck. i was induced 4 days before the fll moon, bu i was having reglar contractions when i went in, so i bet i would have had her by the full moon on my own. i wish i wouldhave waited so i could a statistic!!!

Hey, I just went to look at Makaela's and she was born2 days before too! (And of course we know Tristan was 9 days before.....since there is 9 days between our boy and yours. LOL)

OMG I was just thinking about the full moon. I believe in weird things happening on full moon days, but I do not know about labor. We can only hope!

Having worked in public safety/service the last 12 years, the full moon does seem to bring out some weird stuff. Actually, to me is seems it's 2 days before and after a full moon is when it all hits the fan. I don't know if there's any truth to it but, you just never know!

I just checked that site and i was born two days before the full moon my bf was the day after. I hope it helps me out too im almost 3cm so i need a little push
