If you have a scheduled c-section would you still sign up for childbirth classes?

This will be baby #3. We did with #1, didn't with #2 and the jury is still out for #3.

NO i dont think so cause arent those classed more for l and d and since you are having a section i dont think they will be helpfull at all.

Well that is what I thought too. I didn't see how they would pertain to us. The only benefit I could see would be the tour of the birthing center.

There about more then juts pushing baby out.. so I'd say it can't hurt any if you've got the time.... they always have helpful pregnancy and baby care tips as well as having a refresher in all the ins and outs of things..... I'd do it, but thats just me.
I wouldn't say it's nessesary though or anything.

With my first I went to a childbirth class (this was before i found out I was having a c-section). The teacher actually taught us all about what goes on during a c-section, what your feeling when it happens, the recovery process, and who is actually is in the delivery room when it happens so you understand why there are so many, also she showed a video. I'm glad she did all that so I wasn't completely and utterly scared when I was sent in for an emergency c-section. It really depends on what the class teaches.

Yeppers! I'm scheduled for tommorrow morning and I'm shaking like a leaf!
