I got me a screamer! and some questions..

posted 16th Jul
Hey ladies, been so long sincve i've been on the boards.. now i seem to have graduated to the toddler forum. anyways..

Kurt is almost 14 months. He Doesn't really talk alot.. he trys.. He can kinda say Da, MaMa, Duck, and mostly eveerything is gibberish. should he be saying more?

So he screams alot now too. From getting frustrated, to wanting attention to just plain playing with something and screaming while doing so. Anyone else with that problem? It's like a Winey Scream and it's kind of driving me crazy lol...

And last questions. Kurt goes through fazes. He'll go through a faze where he'll eat alot and mostly anything. Then he'll go through a faze where he won't eat hardly anything and i got to practically chase him around the house just so he'll take a few bites of something. How is everyones childrens around this age eating habits?

okay that's all for now! Thanks Ladies!

Can't exaclty help with the screaming issue. But as far as the eating goes, every kid goes through that. It all depends on if they are growing or not, when they grow they tend to eat like you said anything and everything. When not growing they just don't feel as hungry.

Emily is a screamer. I find it funny though, lol. I always get her to scream back and forth with me. She esp. loves to scream "dadadadada!" or "lalalalalala!"

As for eating, I noticed if I give her the same thing way too much, she starts to just toss it all on the floor so I try to mix her foods up frequently.

Leos like that too, he will eat loads then nothing, as for the screaming, that will most likely go, it did in Leos case lol

I think the screaming is their way of making sure you know they're there. Lexi does it all the time. Even for no reason. As for the food that's the way kids are. My almost 4 year old still does that. Just have them try new things periodically.

Holy crap, does Parker scream. He is LOUD too. Now that he's an old pro at walking, he just walks around the room in circles screaming allllll afternoon! I swear he just likes to hear himself talk, but damn is it irritating after a while.

Also, as for talking, Parker doesn't say much in words either. He will mimic me if I'm trying to get him to say things, but it's pretty much still gibberish also. I was wondering if he should be saying more, too...and he is almost 14 months as well.
