I have a stupid question...

posted 16th Jul
Is there a specific time ovulation occurs? Or timespan?
Or can it happen whenever...?

Is it more likely to happen during the day or night?

:/
So as soon as the egg is fertilized its done.

But like, I was on birth control.
And I missed two days.
I'd be ovulating by the third day, right?

Well.

With my second kiddo, when I thought I was pregnant, I Googled Ovulation Calendars.

That worked, and was right.

I remembered the day, and the sex. [I totally started it, and finished it. He he]

It actually happens like in the the middle of your menstural cycle, usually 14-15 days after your period and 14-15 days before your next menstural cycle. Check out this article:

And this is a tool that you can enter your info and it tells you when you're ovulating:

Ovulation is a crazy thing and it truly depends on the woman. For instance, out of a 2 yr time span, while taking fertilty drugs and having MASSIVE blood draws, I only ovulated 1 time. That's when they told me I was in the beginning stages of menopause. Then 2 months later after I got off all fertility drugs and hadn't had a cycle, I ruptured a cyst. Low and behold I got pregnant! This is my 1 in 1,000,000 chance and we're so happy. The doc's are baffled because they can't figure out how I ovulated and didn't have a period. Go figure.

Here is what I know of ovulation: For women who have a 28 to 32 daymenstral cycle, ovulation can take place between days 11 through 21.Remember this is just an average of days that ovulation could take place--every woman's cycle is different. A woman who has a 27-28 day cycle will most likely ovulate in the earlier part of the window. Those with a longer cycle will often ovulate later in the fertility window. Ovulation usually lasts up 2-4 days which is why a woman can get pregnant even when she hasn't released her egg or when it's past. Sperm stays viable for 72 hrs. It is really all about chance.

Hope this helps.
