When you go into labor and delivery to deliver...tell your nurse that you only want your fiance and leave it up to her to kick people out. I do it all the time for my patients. I kinda get a kick out of it too....it's your body....she has no right to be in there if you don't want her to be.

Why don't you just tell her straight out that her attitude is not one you want as part of your birthing atmosphere. my husband and i just tell everyone that we want it to be a personal experiance for us. Just the two people who made the baby. no one really bothers us about that. If that doesn't work wait till your in labor and start screaming "get her out of here" acting like it's the pain making you do it. That is if you can forego an epidural. I think are overrated anyway. I had one kid with and one without and without is the way to go even if it hurts like a mother because my back hurt where they put in the epi for a year. Hurt for a few hours or hurt for a year . I'll take the few hours.
