babyshower games

Ok so i am having my baby shower this saturday and were pretty much still running around trying to get everything for the baby shower. ( it was a last min. thing ).
i only have some few ideas on on what we should..
the tummy game and this one traditional game my family plays inevery shower we go to where two parthners feed the other parthner those baby food can which we pick a nasty flavor one..its pretty fun
but i need more ideas
any ideas.??

different melted candy bars in a diaper and theguest have to guess what candy bar it is. They get to taste it if they want. Looks gross but funny.

There's this one where you get a big bowl of white rice, and add those tiny safety pins in there, blindfold everyone, and they take turns trying to pick out the safety pins (ALOT harder than it sounds). You can also go to www.babyshower101.com and they have lots there!!

I went to a baby shower where they had like plastic diaper pins. everyone started out with like 5 of them. Every time someone said the word baby and caught you saying it you had to give a pin away. The person with the most at the end of the shower wins.

Not really a game but something that was done at my shower that I truly loved. The person throwing the shower bought some blue cards and envelopes and everyone drew a number from 1-21 and wrote a birthday card / letter to my baby for that age. I am so excited to read every card with him on each birthday!

Oh yeah, they were all sealed so mommy / and or S/O can't read them until that birthday comes along as well! no peaking!!!

Ohh I seen another one done and it was hilarous. Get rolls of cheap and I mean cheap toilet paper. Like one ply. Each player gets a roll and they have 1 min to make a diaper. It's really hard to do since the toilet paper is so cheap that it tears. Other guest get to choose which person does it the best.That's a fun one.

I went to a babyshower 2 weekends ago, and they had jars of babyfood (i think it was 6 jars) and they had the labels ripped off, and you couldnt open it, you had to guess what 3 fruits and 3 veggies they were, it was so hard! lol also, we've done a bottle drinking contest at my sisters, and it was so funny.. we had 3 people volenteer to do something, but we didnt tell them what it was, and when they got up, we handed them each a bottle and put juice in it, and the first one to finish won a gift. there are tons have games out there, personally my favorite it the baby dressing game. you make 2 teams, and you have a 2 babydolls set up at a table next to eachother, and you have maybe about 5 pairs of clothes and diapers set up each, and you have to see which team finished first. lol also, baby bingo is fun, but good luck with whatever you do! hope you all have fun.

At my baby shower we had a blast when I had 6 different baby foods with the labels hidden. The guests had to sample them, and guess what they were. Some were hard like "Veal" baby food.

They also did something like that with the baby food...but instead of taking off the label they stuck it in a diaper and you had to guess.

They also had cheap bottles and filled them up with koolaid....and the first one to suck out all the kool-aid wins

at My shower everyone got a pin and it was part of a game where you cant cross your legs cause its herder for yourself to do so. You cant cross your ankles or anything and and if someone catches another person with their legs crossed that person gets the pin and the one with the most wins. We also played the game where you cant say baby and if someone catches you saying baby they get your necklace but the person who caught the other one cant say "oh you said baby" cause then if someone catches that person say it they get the necklace. and also no one can use a derivative. (spelling) and also the person with the most neckalces wins. Eeryone had fun with those games it was crazy!! we also bought little cheap babydolls and a babydoll diaper and a bib a bottle and a blanket and two people go head to head to see who can dress the baby the fastest and swaddle it with the bottle. that was crazy as well. And final where 2 people went up agaianst each other to see who drink from a baby bottle the fastest. we were supposed to use baby formula but we forgot to get it so we just mixed a bunch of stuff up. that was classic. soory its long but those are some good ideas.

I had my 1st shower last sat. & im havin another dis sat. as well.

da games i played @ my 1st were:
#1. 1 for da guys. Race chuggin beer from baby bottles

#2. "im not changin it" is the name. its basicly hot potato w/ a baby doll.

#3. u clip a clothes pin on everyone as they enter & tell them they can't cross their arms or legs throughout da shower. if any of the players see another player cross somethin, they take that persons pin. da one w/ da most pins by gift time wins.

#4. "poopie winner" Youtake theselil diapers & pin them to every guest member & tell them u'll explain what its for later.In da time of your choosin, you tell everyone to take a look insideda diaper. who's ever has "da poop" in it wins.U can make theseor alot of party supply stores hav some pre-made. I had alot of guests & da pre-made ones didnt come in large packs. Instead I bought a cheap white table cloth @da dollar store, cut it up makin around 40 hand size diapers.im havin a girl so i thought it would be cute to say she poops flowers.the winning diaper had a bunch of flower stickers in it =D i also put pink bows on all da safety pins on da diapers.

#5. ofcourse the belly game "size matters" where they use string to guess ur size

others im planning for dis sat. are:
#1. "gotta go again" is supposed to joke about how pregnant woman make frequent trips to da potty =]
what u do is split ur guests into 2 teams.hav them wear a balloon under their shirt & hold a quarter between their knees.create a starting & ending line w/ tape
at the ending line place a pickle or some other type of glass jar.
each team sends 1 member @ a time to "waddle" their way to drop da quarters in da jar to make "a tinkle".
Every team member is supposed to go twice, but i guess if u have over 20 guests once is enough.

#2. another for da guys. u round up all da guys & tell them they're finally gonna get da chance to feel what its like to be pregnant. *wink*
to do this they hav to hav laces on their shoes, or simply tie a string around da bottom to substitute.
Hav them sit in chairs & hand them unblown balloons.
tell them dat when u say go they hav to blow up da balloons, put it under their shirt & "tie their shoes".they CANT lift their feet off da ground &if they pop their balloon their OUT! =D first "mother" ready wins.

#3. for this game you'll need a bag of cotton balls, a medium sizedplastic container, a spatula, & a blindfold.
Spread the cottonballs on da floor, get rid of the clumps.
have each guest kneel to da floor & take a turn being blindfolded.
hav them hold da container over their head, & use da spatula to scoop as many cotton balls as they can within 3 scoops.
u hav to keep track of each persons number & da one w/ da most in the end wins.

#4. "Gift Bingo" There are two different versions.
The traditional way says to have bingo cards w/ differnt gift items you might receive. As you receive them guests mark it on their cards.
The other version uses number instead of items.
Lets say you're havin @15 guests. Have cards w/ da numbers 1-15 arranged randomly in different orders each.
as da guests & gifts arrive place a number on the GIFT.
when its time to open them select ur gifts as you choose callin out da number of each one as u open it. first to get a straight line or da four corners wins BINGO!

I loved it, my husband drew birthday year 21 so you can only imagine what that card says! He had me read it before he sealed it but that is the only one I read, then we have 2 for the day he is born my mom and sister got to write those to him..

Complete the Nursery Rhyme - have different quotes from various nursery rhymes and leave a blank at the end and the guests have to complete the rhymes. This one was fun! It just shows how many "parents" and whatnot actually know all the nursery rhymes!

Baby Shower Word Scramble.. - a bunch of baby related words scrambled, guests unscramble the words. Guest with most words unscrambled wins.

Pass the Pascifier.. - Have straws for each guest. Guests divide into two lines. You need two pacifiers. Players at start of the line hold the pacifier on their straw and then have to pass it to next person in line on their pacifier! No using hands! If the pacifier is dropped they have to start alll over. First team to pass the pacifier down the whole line successfully wins.

Memory Game. - Have a bunch of baby related items in a basket. Allow guests to view items for 20 seconds then they have to write down as many items as they can remember... whoever has the most items memorized wins.
