Pediatrician problem

Ok so my due date is in September 8th a few weeks away .
and I can't find a pediatrician in my home town or the next town over . and all my friends don't have kids yet so I can't ask them . and this is the first grandbaby so no one knows where I can find one . and I don't want to have to travel 30 - 40 mils to a pediatricians. THAT'S A LONG TIME FOR A NEWBORN BABY TO BE IN A CAR AND GAS GOING UP I CAN'T AFORD TO TRAVEL EVERY WEEKS OR WHATEVER   Any tip on what I can do if I can't find one on time . or what should I do . I’m going crazy and getting stress out about it HELP!!.

what type of insurance do you have? some insurance companies have a directory of participating doctors, so you can just pick a few to meet with and decide which one you like.

You might want to call the hospital you deliver at. Sometimes they have help lines with people that can recommend a doc, and since the people making the recommendation aren't docs themselves, they can say if there's been good things or bad things said about the doc. Also try looking up doctor reviews online, that may help also.
