Braxton Hicks Contractions

I know this may seem like a REALLY silly question, but as I get closer to my due date I've been hearing more and more about the BH contractions and all the research I've done online has all kinds of information EXCEPT what they feel like.

This is my first pregnancy and I honestly have no idea what to expect when it comes to actually going into labor and feeling real contractions so I was hoping some of the Mommys would be able to give me a "Braxton Hicks Contractions for Dummies" lesson.

I thought I got them today at the grocery store... it just felt like rhythmic tightening of my belly... but the more I walked it went away...
Maybe she had hiccups???

I read with the BH contractions they do actually lighten sometimes if you get up and walk around... but I think I've proven I am no expert!

its when your whole stomach tightens into a thick like ball and pain runs across it it lasts like a minute or two atleast thats how my doctor described it and confirmed i was having a few mild ones the other day in the office im just glad that i havent dialted any because its way too earlier.. but good luck girlies not that much longer

everyone is different, not EVERYONE gets them. I didnt with my first son. the only contractions i got were the real ones when it was time. and you will deff know when its the real ones. they hurt like hell. with my second it felt like period cramps it would come and go, belly gets tight etc.

I have definately experienced that feeling I just figured it had something to do with the way he was laying at the time.

They do usually go away after a bit and my stomache doesnt feel as tight. Maybe that's what it has been those whole time... or he just likes sticking hislittle baby bottomout  

You stomach will tighten up really hard and if you move around and they go away they are BH if not they are real!
