Any one use Fenugreek?

I started taking fenugreek yesterday to boost my milk supply and I want to know if any one else has taken this for that purpose. If so, how long did it take to start working? And did it actually work, and how drastic was the change? Just give me your own personal experience please, thanks!

it worked with me right away, but then i got dehydrated and it actually hurt my supply. so drink PLENTY of fluids, and give it at least 2 weeks to work. you might not even realize it's workign though, so just keep letting that baby be on the breast hun. seems like you're still having probs   good luck.

I just started using it this past Friday-and today for the first time I actually had leakeage. So it must be working. I think it is important to note that fenugreek is also used to lower blood sugar so I have been trying to eat something when I take it.

I was interested in this subject myself... I was actually on Reglan for a little while, but ended up having an allergic reaction to it, so now my supply is back down, and it's only gonna get worse when it should be getting better cuz I only have time to pump once at work...

Im glad you posted here. I posted another topic the other day about Reglan. My doctor prescribed it to me, but I ended up not taking it because I learned that one of the side effects was severe depression and I didn't think it would be worth the risk. I hope all goes well with you.

As for the rest, thank you all for your input. I haven't noticed it working just yet but in a way I think it is because the baby is feeding for a little bit longer compared to a couple days ago. I hope it works well!

I didn't have any mood problems with it at all, but one day I completely didn't take it because I went somewhere and forgot it at home... when I started taking it again I broke out in hives EVERYWHERE... I had no idea it was the Reglan that was causing it since I hadn't had any reaction to it before, but I read online that it happens like that with medications especially if you stop taking it and start again your body can develop anallergy...& as soon as I stopped taking it the hives started clearing up, and now they're completely gone

But yeah, so I have been thinking of trying Fenugreek since the pharmacist recommended it when I picked up my Reglan prescription. She told me her daughter used it and got really good results, but then she knew someone else who used it and didn't get any results, so I was just wanted to see if it was worth the investment!

yeah i wanted to try it first to see if it would work. so i bought the small bottle which is $6.99 for 100 pills. Iread on a site that u should take 6 cappsules/ day to produce good results.

I just started taking fenugreek on friday and I think it has already started to help me. When I looked on the internet all the articles I read said you should take 4-6 capsuls a day but on my bottle it said take 1-2 so I don't know if I am taking enough. For the others who are taking it how many are you taking and what are the miligrams per capsul?
