delivering a breached baby

has anyone ever done it? if so what method was used ex csection of vaginal? im only 24 wks and my baby is breached and my dr has already scheduled me for a csection (that not being the only reason but b/c i my first birth was a csection) i was wondering if any of u did, was the delivery harder and does anyone kno when it is too late for the baby to turn around?

hello my daughter {my sec} she was 9 weeks early and 5lbs and 12oz i dilvered her breached vag in six mins i made the news and my picture is hanging in the hospital where i had her

now i have 5 kids and 1 one the way and married and 22 i love it

It is definitely not too late for the baby to turn. In fact, I think most babies are still breech that early! I don't think my son flipped until around 30 weeks. They can flip at any time, though it gets more unlikely he further along you get, especially after 35 weeks.

My mom had my sister breech, but that was years ago. It is definitely not recommended due to the inherent dangers. It is much easier for a breech baby to get stuck and then you have a major problem if you have delivered the body and the head is stuck! Plus, it makes it less likely you will dilate in a timely manner when they come feet first.

However, you are still pretty early yet. I'm very surprised your doctor already schedules a c-section. He must be reluctant to do a VBAC.

I think I was 33-34 weeks when my son flipped. Although I still had to have a csection because he was too big and was sunny side up

I've heard of some babies flipping as late as 38-39 weeks.

hello...some babies dont turn til much later. its too early to schedule a c-section for that reason

this is the same doctor as was with my first pregnancy and he gave me a csection b/c he said my pelvis was too small so i asked him would i have any chance of VBAC and he said no. (hes known for doing csections though b/c drs get paid more for them) so i think he just wants to give me a csection for his own selfish reasons. i mean he told my cousin at 5 mths that she was gonna have a csection for no apparent reason

i dont know if he scheduled my csection b/c of that or b/c ive had a previous one but i thought it was pretty dumb also b/c my DUE date is nov. 5 and my csection is oct 31 idk.

i wouldnt want a halloween baby lol.
i was due nov. 19 with my daughter and i fretted that she would come on halloween, but she didnt. i had a scheduled c-section on nov. 3 also because she was breech, but i was almost 38 weeks then and she sill hadnt turned.
