Hormone Injections and Phemara..Any Luck?

posted 13th Jul
Hi,
My husband and I have been TTC for a bit over 3 years now. Next month (August 0  Iam going tobe on Hormone Injections along with an oral med called Phemara. I've been on phemara before.. But not the shots. Has any one been on these with any luck? This is our last hope. If this doesnt work.. then...I guess we will never have a family. Our insurance won't pay for invetro, and on soldiers pay we sure enough can't afford it out of pocket. And their is no way we can afford to adopt either. So, please tell me something good about this!

they wont pay for it. They pay for everything up to that point. Including surgery and all the meds. At least thats the way it is here on Bragg. We've checked.

yeah unfortunately Tricare doesn't cover invitro or IUI. Have you tried IUI? I've been researching it and I got a quote for about $400 for a round of IUI, which is a lot but it's doable. I'm sorry you're having a rough time, I hate that adoption costs so much money. there are so many children that need a home and so many parents that want those children, but can't afford to "buy" one. I haven't tried injections but I do know many women that have conceived with them, and even more that have conceived with injections and IUI. Good luck!
