SOO freaking RUDE!

SO yesterday Deivis (my boyfriend) tells me hes going to pick me up after work so we can go out to eat because we hardly ever do (besides fast food) like we used to but just havent because we've been soo busy working to save for the baby, and when we go out we just go shopping or to the doctors and stuff no special "US TIME" lol
But anyway so we go to this diner kinda place and this old greek lady takes our order and while we are waiting she comes back and says ..." you expecting baby" and im like yea ,Shes like ' but you SOO young how old" so im like im gonna be 20 soon and she goes " my daughter she she talks about wanting a baby since 17 and then boom now she 22 with baby and the fathers not there ...KIDS!" and then rolls her eyes and walks away...
PAUSE
ok now up to this point im not even mad or insulted...YET and she didnt even roll her eyes in a nasty way just in a silly "kids these days hahhaha" kinda way so w.e and i even told deivis i felt like saying ...well we've been together 2 years and i know hes GONNA be there but i felt like that was defending myself and its none of her business and hes like yea who is she?

like 2 minutes later the next time she walks by our table she pokes her head in at us and goes" baby is alot of responsibility!!'' and keeps walking!!
THATS when i was like are you kidding me and started to get annoyed
so then when she brings our food shes like "you know now they are not together and I have to watch the baby every monday and tuesday no no wednesday and thursday and the father doesnt do anything he forgot him at daycare last friday hes no good!"...DEIVIS was soo annoyed he goes" we've been together two years and im gonna be there " lol after he told me not to defend us that we didnt need to!
she goes "THEY WERE TOGETHER 3!"
now its like LEAVE US ALONE
so im fake smiling her and she leaves
when she comes to give us the check shes like "boy or girl " and while hes looking down at his wallet she mouths " is he happy " like all secretive
and i go YES he is
UGHHHHHHHHH she was sooo annoying like soo persistent some people need to learn how to bite their tongues we found it funny and it didnt bother me to the point ifelt like i had to or wanted to argue but damn dont be soo rude thats not how i wanted to spend my meal you know?!

I would have bitched to management, that is NO way to talk to a customer. Nosey old bitch.

old people can be so frikin rude especially since we look younger than our age..something similar happened to me one day i went to buy some pizza and the lady behind the counter is like wow ur pregnant!! im like yeah i am..then she sais the dummest shit ever ...ohhh babys having babys! im like thinkin in my head i need to calm down cuz this bitch is away from getting it lmao..i just gave her a nasty look i dont need to explain myself to her that ill be 20 soon and im done wit high school and im in college..so yeah if i see that lady again and she sais something else to me ima be like listen its none of ur bissness wat i do wit my life so mind ya own

i would have screwed with her head, told her theres 3 or 4 different possibilites of who the dad could be and all that. nosey ass. some old bitch asked me how far along i was and when i told her a little over 2 months (ive still got baby fat from my baby) she acted like i was full of shit.....way to make me feel HUGE!!!!

something similar happend to me a few weeks ago, i'm pretty young myself im 20 but i look like im 16 so thats makes matters worse. well anyways me and my fiance go out to a mexican restaurant (my fave) and we order a large cheese dip, so about ten minutes goes by we are waiting for our food to come and we run out of chips, so i ask our waitress if we could have more and i kid you not she said '' UGH you know you really shouldnt be eating that much you are gunna gain even more weight than you already have! and by the way you shouldnt be out a restaruant anyways you should be saving your money for the baby, how selfish'' and what is so funny about the whole thing is that i am very petite im only 4'11 and i weighed about 99lbs before i got pregnant and now art29 weeks i weigh only 115, so thats is when i proceded to say okay you know what you are right but since ive already ordered and eatin my appetizer i think im going to save the money that i was going to use on your tip and go ahead and save that for the baby...after i said that she was
VERY friendly the rest of our meal but i still didint tip her one penny.

annoying but, I don't think she was trying to be rude...not saying it wasn't rude but, I think it's another case of a cultural thing.

#1 her daughter wasn't married when they had the baby
#2 Her daughters baby daddy is an idiot
#3 people in greece are used to being in family members business. They are just a close knit group of people and everyone knows everything (i had greek friends)

So, yes you are not her daughter but, you are young and remind her of her daughter so she felt like she should say something.

Not in the least bit called for and I'm sorry she put a damper on your night but, just chalk it up as a culture clash.


My besties mom is from thailand. we've been friends since HS.
her sis had a lil girl at 15 and my bestie isn't the most motivated person in the world.
I wasn't much better but, i didn't have a baby and i was actually going to class some of the time.
Everytime i'd go over or called, it cam to aunt B (what i call her mom) asking the girls why they couldn't be more like their "sister" Jennifer.

when i hubby and I got married and my bestie was living w/her mom and now had a baby of her own and no job it got even worse. here i was married, a good job and no baby.. My poor bestie. i put a strain on our relationship for a while. Her mom thought it was just fine... cultural thing 

I had my daughter when I was 17 and I never recieved any ignorant remarks from anybody yet.. and I am now 20 and having another baby.....

But I think I would have gotten smart with her, it isnt any of her business and I woul dhave complained to management as well. It's not your fault her daughter got herself a deadbeat and you don't

I don't look 27 and people give me crazy looks all the time. People don't realize it until I talk to them and they find out how intelligent I am...lol...Seriously , people will always talk so be happy!!!

gahh. some ppl. just cant help but state their opinions even when they are not needed.   i 've kinda gotten use to it, and i just look at them w| this face of if you dont a. leave me alone b. change the subject or c. just walk away, i will break your hip, they have a tendency to drop the baby talk and talk about anything and everything else.
