Bed Time?

What are some ways to get my 3 year old to go to sleep at his 8:30 bedtime without a tantrum and without hitting his pregnant mommys tummy?

Im feeling sarcastic tonight.

I make my 5 yr old step son face the wall. And if hes not asleep by 10 then i tell him im going to close the door and he goes to sleep within 10 mins.

he gets ready for bed at 8:00 by washing his face and feet and then he brushes his teeth then he gets to watch TV for the time remaining until 8:30.....

with Jett (2 next month) we sit him with us in our room on the rocker at 6pm (everynight he loves his routine) and then by about 6:30 he is ready to go and sleep in his cot... he will be moving to a "big boy bed" soon and I am sure I will be asking you for advice on how to get him to stay put lOL..... with my daughter she had her bed next to ours ont he floor.... thats ok with one child but I dont know if we can fir 3 beds plus ours in our room    ... although theres no need for BC LOL

lol i tried that one mine would just look at u say come make me or stick toung out say yur pregnat u can't do nuthing ahh i just wanna strangle her sumtimes lol

It might be that he gets to watch tv before he goes to bed, i know thats how my step son used to be until i started turning the tv off at 8:45 and he goes to bed at 9:30. I used to be the same way, i wouldnt want to go to bed because i wanted to stay up and keep watching tv. Maybe changing his routine around so that he gets ready for bed after he watches tv? And only let him watch tv for 15mins instead of 30 before bedtime?

lol the first day we got my step son i told him that when we got home he could play with one toy if it wasnt past 9:00pm well we ended up getting home around 1:00am and he woke up and said that he wanted to play with his toy now. I just looked at him like he was crazy and made him lay down and go to sleep.

That could work but we tried taking the tv away before and he becomes the biggest baby but this rutene is how we got threw that problem

welcome to the club lol. But has your daughter ever got so irretating that she kicked and hit your belly when you were pregnant with baby number two my 3 year old does it all the time and the baby kicks and moves around i feel so sorry for her.

Maybe try it again and just deal with him being a big baby. ( not trying to sound rude or anything)
