inducing labor

im due the 17 of august but my dr is inducing me at 38 weeks im kind of nervous my first time of course i hear it makes labor worse will someone let me know i cant wait to have her in her room but im also very scared too 

Well, I don't know about it being worse. My first one was over a week late and the labor was HELL....24 hours of HELL! I am not sure that it will make labor worse than it would normally be. I have known several people who have been induced and things went fine. Why are they inducing you early? I'm sure you will be fine and once you have her in your arms it won't even matter! I was induced twice, it was a breeze.

I was induced at 41 weeks and 2 days.
It didn't work after 18 hours, so I got a csection.

I was induced at 38 weeks, and was 2 1/2 dialated and 50% effaced already, so i thought that would help. It didn't. My labor experience was not very fun. It resulted in 17 hours of labor, and horrible contractions. Good Luck. Everyone's induction experience is different. My mom got induced w/ my brother and had him in 2 hrs.

well i have diabetes but she is normal size i really dont no why he is doing it i just heard tons of stories bout it makes contractions alot more painful but thankz luv 4 the advice good luck to u to

my blood pressure was too high. dont worry too much. like someone else said, its all worth it when u are holding your baby afterwards!! do u plan on getting the epi?

see my blood pressure be up and down also i want to feel the minimum for pain so i think im going with the epi but im scared cause of my blood pressure he will try to give me a c cection

hmmm...i dont know anything about that. my blood pressure was high, and i got the epi and went natural! i swear by the epidural though, that was a freaking life saver!!!!! they shouldn't try to give u a c-section though, they will just monitor you closely.

i get worried about everything lol but ya im gonna take the epi totally off subject i have those same recieving blankets i actually have the bumper set too lol   i just hope it goes fast

i love the crib set!! I think its the cutest thing ever. Just try not to worry too much. It will be over before you know it, then you will have your baby!!! I hope it goes fast for you too though!!

i luv it too i walk in her room all the time just to stare at ity even though her crib looks huge like maybe it is too big for her   but i cant wait thanks luv for the advice i feel a lil more calm bout it

They only difference.... You don't have the smaller ones leading up to the stronger ones. So it doesn't prepare you the same. But it doesn't hurt any more. Heck, it wasn't bad at all for me really. I did it twice.
