Infection and it takes longer to heal. They dont perice you either.

Infection,longer healing time and some people have reactions to the ink.

something about your antibodies? I believe start fighting whatever unnatural thing enters into the body/skin and then it will try to reject and fight the baby. Maybe its blood cells. I don't know the proper terms haha, but thats how someone explained it to me before. A little more to in then just "infection."

ink poisoning...I know a lot of tattoo artists considering I am a piercer...you can go into early labor, get ink poisoning, get a severe skin infection

They will pierce you just not close to your stomach or any painful piercings that could induce labor...

There are actually a few reasons.
1. Infection
2. HIV and Hepatitis
3. Your body will not heal a tattoo as well, sometimes they won't heal at all because your body is too busy building a baby
4. Unknown effects of ink in the bloodstream. Some inks are metallic based, also some people have allergic reaction to any ink that is red.

No respectable tattoo artist will tattoo or pierce a pregnant woman. I have 7 tattoos and know many artists and they all have said th same hting.

you can't get ink poisoning unless the artist is dumb and sticks the needle in your vein. the needles only go down to the second layer of dermis.

I got a tattoo a month ago. Me and baby are fine. Just take super good care of your tattoo and it won't get infected.
