at 15 weeks?

posted 12th Jul
Hello Everyone! I have a 2 year old, and am 15 weeks preggo. I have a question for those of you that have had multiple pregnancies, or even one!

Last night i woke up around 1 am. i was laying on my back and i had one hand on my belly and the other one was resting on top of it. I woke up becuase i had to pee REALLY bad, and i noticed right away that i could feel my uterus really good right under my hand. i was just laying there for a second. then suddenly i felt the very familiar movement, or quickening, where my palm just filled up for a second, and i could tell the little peanut was turning or changing positions. i say it is familiar, becuase as you know, once you feel that, you NEVER forget it! i kept laying there and got jabbed very lightly a few times. I was relishing in the moment, until my 2 year old woke up...

I was so happy, becuase i have been waiting to feel that, and have heard you can detect movement sooner after your first. Only this morning when i woke up, i couldnt tell if it was just a dream or not! i really dont think it was, becuase i can still feel it on my palm if i think about it! but even if it was a dream, it was fabulous!

So, my question is, have those of you ever felt the baby move this early?

Definitely not from the outside. I felt my 2nd move at 13 weeks but couldn't feel it from the outside until around 20.

Yes, I've felt both of mine early... but when I have to pee really bad I get a contraction.. my uterus just tightens up in a ball, that is not baby..

I felt mine at 14 weeks but not again until closer to 16. My doctor didn't even believe me until they did the ultrasound and found out I had a huge baby!

I didn't feel it on the outside until 16 or 17 weeks. This is my first, but (as you can tell from my pic), he's HUGE!! guess he ran out of room early. lol

I beleive you   I felt this baby really early, 13 weeks from the inside and I could actually see her move by 18 weeks from the outside. So I say yeah   It was probably your baby. Especially since you dont seem to have much body fat between your skin and your uterus... that helps

Yea.. It's very possible to feel them inside this early, but I thought you were saying from the outside which is highly unlikely since they are still so tiny. With both of mine I felt small movements around 13/14 weeks (inside) and with my first I started feeling her kicks outside at 18 weeks... no outside kicks for this one yet..

I'm almost 15 weeks and I think I feel mine too every once in a while. I am not sure though if it is the baby or just gas or air or something...! I can't remember feeling my first one this early, but it's been 5 years so I forgot when I felt her move first!

This is my second pregnancy, first was a miscarriage at 21 weeks. So i know the feeling of movement because I've felt it before. And I felt this baby moving around 14 weeks but you couldn't feel or see it from the outside.
Maybe its a super baby growin' in there. haha, jk. =] I'm sure you know what ya felt though since this is your second pregnancy.

Jade; its hard to tell the difference between fetal movement and gas or a hungry belly. I don't think i even know the words to explain it. =/ But I'm sure you'll know what it is when you feel it. Sometimes it can take time for you to realize the difference or realize what is actually goin on in there. =]
But it'll come sooner than you think. Thats for sure.

Hope I helped with all my blabbering. ha.

Exactly! when you feel it, you just know! jade, it'll happen! i wish i could remember how far along i was when i felt my son move for the first time, but i am guessing around 17 weeks? maybe a tad sooner. he moved a lot when i would lay down after standing, or change positions. Thanks again for the input! i cant wait to share the movements with my husband
