Natural labor inducement?

I went to my dr's this past tuesday and his assistant told me that I should walk on sand to cause contractions and induce labor. Well, the beach is close but not close enough....I'm not driving almost an hour just to go walk on sand and i don't know anyone or anyplace with a sandbox. Anyway, she said it's because it's harder to walk and your legs do more , like they tighten up and make you work harder or something. So I thought, hmmmm, why not swim? I have a swimming pool which I haven't used in about a month just because I've been lazy. So I went in there last night, now my lower back hurts soooooooooooo bad. The thing is, I'm not even sure if I'm having contractions or not. Last time I went to the doctor he said I was having them but I don't feel them. Should I keep swimming to "induce" labor? Does this even work? Also, my aunt told me to drink cumin tea. Has anyone heard of this?

I've tried everything lol. Sex, pineapple with mango and papaya, walking,....everything safe that is....I mean, I'm not going all out with castor oil and all that. I guess the last thing to try is that damn cumin tea....which I'm not too happy about lol. I can't imagine drinking that. I might try it tomorrow if the swimming thing doesn't work for contractions today. Like i said, i swam yesterday but no luck, just lots of lower back pains

That's what I keep trying to tell myself. I remember when I used to tell my husband this.....he's been anxious since day one. Since I didn't have any problems with my pregnancy or morning sickness or anything, I enjoyed it. But I am so over it now lol.

Doing the breaststroke in the pool is supposed to help because it opens up your pelvis and allows the baby to engage. I was going to go to the pool yesterday but went walking instead. Maybe I'll go today and see if it does anything.

I swam last night for a good while and treaded water for a good while too but like I said, now my lower back hurts so much. Maybe it's working? not sure. Like I said, my doctor said I wasn't feeling my contractions for some reason because i am having them (atleast i was when he checked me on tuesday) but I told him that I wasn't feeling anything. Weird.

It's not encouraging, it's called, SHARING THE EXPERIENCE WITH IT. Total difference. I didn't tell her to take it, I told her it's up to her and I'm just sharing what happened to two people I know that took it.
