yea what she said! LOL this happened to me, i thought my other insurance covered pregnancy but they said i had to pay $30 each visit for copay and you know when it gets down to going to the dr every 2 weeks and every week, i cant afford that! Plus they said i had to pay 30% of the labor medical bill, and 30% of a couple thousand dollars is ALOT!
But yea anyway i didnt have a phone interview either, it was face to face and all i did was sign some papers and i was on medicaid! They really dont ask you alot.

yea theyre bad about returning phone calls and its hard to get ahold of them here. Plus theyre closed on thursdays and if you call on a friday the message from the day before still plays so you still cant get ahold of them...

yeah i tried calling a couple different people, no one knows anything, lol... but yeah i hope it's easy like you said, that there isn't a lot of questioning, i'm just scared i'm not gonna be approved and then i don't know what we're gonna do... lol!

I have medicaid (Indiana) right now as my secondary insurance. My insurance does cover pregnancy, but only after I meet my gigantic deductible. I am STILL paying for the D&C that I had done in January. Medicaid should cover you. They have to if you meet the requirements on income. All you have to do is apply and tell them that you are applying ONLY for pregnancy medicaid. You will have to turn in your primary insurance information, proof of income, and household expenses. You will have to do a phone interview with them and they will send you a packet with all of the papers that you need to sign. It is a pain in the butt and then it will take you forever to be approved. It took them three months to send me my approval letter. Medicaid though is always difficult. I work with them everyday (medical billing) and everyday I dislike them more and more.

I just got my package with the plan information and I haven't even had an interview! I talked to the lady in enrollment and she said that if I received that package then I was approved and I am now just waiting on my first medicaid eligilibility card to show to my doctor! Yay!

Wow girl, it sounds like you went through hell with them.... I feel bad for bitching about the late phone call!!! They finally called at quarter til 6 when they were suppose to call at 11:30, but I got approved, so I won't complain... considering i just applied yesterday!!! Hope it gets better for you!!!
